(107) March 31, 2019. Entering “St. Rita of Cascia” was an experience of grace. This extraordinary architecture has been lovingly care for from her beginning by The Augustinian Order. And visible, so too by a devout faith community.
The grace that Fr. Ray Flores gave was in part his homily. To experience God is to use time and attention seeking Him. God is not hidden, God resides in us. And today God was all around me in all those who used their time and attention seeking God in one another here in this place. Filled once again with love from a faith community that once were strangers before we all shared in communion with Jesus.
St. Rita’s bell towers can be seen blocks before arriving to her doors. To experience her beauty one must travel to 6243 S. Fairfield Ave. Chicago.
