(17) July 9th, 2017. Thank you Sister Susan Majcen for suggesting St. Thomas More Church. Msgr. Richard Zborowski’s homily was absolutely wonderful to hear. One part of his message explained how horses throughout history are looked at as grandeur and donkeys not so much. Even the King of beers, Anheuser-Busch would never consider using mules over Clydesdales. But Jesus road into Jerusalem on an ass. The message was about staying humble and how a double yoke with Jesus makes our lives easier to bear.

Getting a little history from Monsignor… St.Thomas More died a martyr. King Henry the 8th had him decapitated. In this church there is a stain glass window with King Henry. Hum…. guess it’s to remember the historical sacrifices of martyrdom.
