(105) March 17, 2019. It was a full house of worshipers here at “The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine”. America’s first Catholic Parish. Prior to landing in Florida and celebrating Mass, we researched Her history and viewed pictures. Her beauty and feeling the presence of those who sacrificed for Her must be felt in real time. Once again, God gave me a gift to treasure and share with anyone who views these posts.

Regretfully, didn’t get a picture of Fr. Martin, who was this mass’s celebrant. In his homily the message was about the differences of being spiritually asleep or awake. Some may not even know they are spiritually asleep in their faith. But those who are awake, know it. It is the most powerful feeling of being in communion with The Holy Trinity. In the spiritual realm rest is needed. Our souls take rest in prayer and meditation. Our souls are taking a load off for God to rejuvenate our spirits once again. So that we can be fully awake and be of service as part of The Body of Christ. The return is a fire of love that can’t be extinguished.
