September 19, 2021. Taking a little time away from the Churches closer to home, my Sunday’s Mass celebration was at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Vermont.
It was an honor to hear The Most Reverend Christopher J. Coyne, Bishop of Burlington talk about the readings and Gospel. Candidly, he reminded us how being obnoxious never ends well, but gentleness, kindness and patience always prevail over vileness. The worst of all revilements is envy it not only harbors betterment towards others, it causes disorder in our hearts.
Quoting, Bishop Coyne as he spoke on the Gospel, “like a child, let us live in the moment, because in the moment is where God receives us”.
This message for me, is good to take home and practice peace, patience and goodwill in the present moments of my life.
