April 1, 2023. It was a first to attend Palm Sunday on Saturday night, it was also a first to experience The Mass Celebration in Lithuanian. The original plan was to attend Mass at another Church a block away from this Church, but the steeples of this Church caught my attention and so it was God’s plan that drew me into the experience of hearing The Passion in a language foreign to me, but familiar to my soul no matter the tongue it’s spoken in.

Although, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is in Chicago, seeing the beauty of Her transported me to Lithuanian. Immigrants of Lithuanian came to Chicago to build their Church in order to worship as Catholics free from communism.

It was a short visit experiencing Lithuanian in a most beautiful way through The Mass and an awesome way to begin Holy Week free to worship as a Catholic who loves her faith.
