May 28, 2023. It’s a mystery how God can turn hearts of stone into loving and forgiving through the works of The Holy Spirit.
Fr. Derrick prepared and prayed that his homily would be the best this Pentecost Sunday, and God answered, “Cool”. Yes, it was and it gave me chills hearing about a woman who spent years not being able to forgive her bother of something he did. Until the woman heard a talk on forgiveness and turned up at her brother’s house to forgive him. The brother sobbing uncontrollably said to his sister, “my plan today was to commit suicide”.
God sent Jesus to offer The Holy Spirt and change hearts of stone to forgive and love and in return God’s mysterious ways are revealed to us.
