Fr. Tim’s homily sounded so beautiful. And after Mass he translated a short version in English for me. That in trusting Jesus, we have freedom from fear.
My fear was knowing a hundred Catholic Churches in Chicago are deemed to close. Chicago was once nicknamed “Little Rome”. There used to be 364 parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Becoming a Cathologist (my made up word. Meaning; digging into Catholicism’s past), my hope is to preserve and share some of the Churches that will permanently close their doors. The parishes that will remain open are vibrant with people who will never have fear of losing their faith.
