Ste. Anne de Detroit Catholic Church

Address: 1000 St Anne St
Detroit, MI 48216
Opened: 1887

(111) April 28, 2019. Second oldest Catholic Parish in the United States is in Detroit, Michigan. “St. Anne” was almost deemed a fate of the wrecking ball. Her history began in the 1700s.

This glorious Church has been kept to original details during renovations. So what we see today, is French Gothic historical artistry. The stain glass windows, made in Detroit, USA.

For the early Sunday Mass, we celebrated in the small chapel. Monsignor Charles Kosanke spoke of when Jesus after His Resurrection returned to where the Disciples gathered in hiding. They were afraid and uncertain of what to do. Just as we are today. Jesus’ message to them and us now, believe in peace, give your troubles and fears to God. In the end peace will be ours.

There’s no greater love than The One offered to us in peace.
