November 24, 2019. As the St. Joan of Arc congregation waited to hear the processional hymn to begin, we were first introduced to a newborn. His name is Max and was carried in by his mom for his first Mass. Max wasn’t expecting to live after birth and was baptized at the hospital.
At this Mass we celebrated Christ the King and we also witnessed Max’s completion of the sacrament of Baptism. Not only was Max’s family and friends beaming with joy, so was Fr. Gabriel. Proud as a father can be, this Priest held Max in his arms and walk around the nave introducing us to his newest flock member.
There was true joy we all witnessed and felt for Max. This was a most awesome time of worship and thanksgiving. Especially for the parents of Max, who celebrated their newborn’s life and welcoming to his Church. All thanks to God!
