Today the candle of peace, representing the second week of Advent was lit.
Four days ago peace came to my dying Aunt while holding Her hand. God answered my prayer that She not suffer long and not die alone. Then a bonus blessing happened, the hospital hospice nurse asked me, should she find a chaplain and a Priest came to give my Aunt “Absolution of the Dead”.
Peace came to my Aunt and for that it was so very special to me that the candle of peace was lit today at “Our Lady of the Wayside”. Although my Aunt wasn’t Catholic, The Mother Church of all Christian denominations came to bless Her passing and pray over Her for eternal peace.
