(39) December 10,2017. Had a most incredible experience at “Holy Family” parish, today. Met women who have belonged to the parish for over 50 years and told me about their love and history with their faith community. Heard a homily from Deacon David Keene, who said Christmas is about emptying ourselves and waiting for the Greatest Gift, Emmanuel. Met Fr. Michael Gabriel, who gave me permission to wander about and take pictures. Even climb up to the 3rd story to see the towering organ pipes up close. After mass met an elderly man, who is the grandson of the architect would built the church. Felt spiritually at home worshiping this second week of Advent with so many loving people.
