(75) August 19, 2018. Celebrated Mass at “Holy Family Catholic Church” in Cahokia, IL. This parish was founded in 1699 and was rebuilt 3 times. Keeping with tradition the Mass was in Latin. Canon Michael K. Wiener spoke eloquently about sin and how all of us are accountable to confess our transgressions. So that we make what’s wrong right with God.
Spent the rest of the day touring in St. Louis and visiting 3 more Churches. “Basilica of Saint Louis” King of France. “Cathedral Basilica” of St. Louis. “St. Francis De Sales Oratory”.
All are world famous for their history and architecture. In my Father’s House are many Mansions. Maybe these places of worship are part of Jesus’ parable? Because it’s where my heart feels at home.
