(119) June 23, 2019. Traveled to the South shore of Chicago to attend Mass. Although aging and weathered “St. Bride” was built to stand the test of time. Like an aging woman, her true beauty is revealed within.
A vital treasure chest more precious than any worldly possessions are just inside her wrinkled doors. Softly Gregorian chants were sung to welcome worshipers. So too, Fr. Bob greeted me as a newcomer to his parish.
My cup was completely empty by choice. Because my morning prayer was petitioning God to fill it with His will. And as Mass was coming to an end, we celebrated the Veneration of Corpus Christie. There is no greater love than having one’s cup filled with The Body of Christ.
