(80) September 23, 2018. It’s amazing how one could live almost their whole life somewhere and never see most of the beauty to behold. My mission’s path lead me to St. Clement in Lincoln Pk. My 1st time seeing this part of Chicago.
This parish is vibrant, stunning and celebrating 100 this year. If the walls could speak, oh wait they do! Even on the ceilings are Iconic stories of Angels, Saints, the Apostles and Holy Family. Felt right at home seeing animals and birds surrounding The Crucifix over The Altar.
Fr. Michael Caruso’s homily helped mend a hurt in my heart. His message had many parts. But what helped answer a need in me was to stay humble and be thankful to understand humility. Otherwise we become calloused and unable to cope with our pains and those of others. There is a sweetness in suffering. Meditating on what Jesus suffered says it all.
