(81) September 30, 2018. Since my conversion it’s always been my thought that going to Mass is a privilege. And today my Grandson accompanied me to St. Ita in Chicago. Only two years old and he too attends weekly Mass with his parents.
Fr. Robert, a Franciscan Friar, began his homily with a question. “Who is the Leader”? There are people in charge to lead and govern in our world. But who is in charge of them? Misguided by wealth, power, and status. This is a disguise that some may think is a blessing.
True blessings are staying humble, being equal to all others and sharing without ceasing to those in need. In The Trinitarian of God being The Leader, Jesus who taught and sacrificed and The Holy Spirit, who is The Project Manager. For me, the way to live life to the fullest is to give back to God.
In this place of worship, my blessings were bountiful. It was a privilege to be in this beautiful French Gothic revival Church. To meet so many loving parishioners. And to witness my Grandson’s faith formation.
