After a week of challenges, it was good to enter the door of St. Michael and settle myself into a pew for Holy moments at Mass.

In Fr. Daniel Villalobos’ reviving homily for my soul, he told a story about a little girl who spent her money to buy a plastic pearl necklace. For three nights before bed, the little girl was asked by her Dad, “Do you love me and will you give me your pearl necklace?” The first two nights, the little girl said, “yes, l love you”, but didn’t give her father the pearl necklace. The third night, after saying “I love you”, she gave the necklace to her Dad, and to that, her Dad gave her a genuine pearl necklace.

My Father in Heaven gives me what is genuine,He takes away what is challenging that sometimes is hard to let go and gives me genuine love and all that is required is to love Him back.
