(76) August 26, 2018. Before there was a Christian Church, there was Christ and His followers. During a dark time in Jesus’ ministry, Simon Peter asked “Master to whom shall we go”? The answer then and now is to our Lord’s Table for faith, strength, healing, and forgiveness.
Fr. Tom Dore’s message today at St. Pascal addressed the crimes against innocent children. It was clear that the Church was used and corrupted far too long by many predators. He then asked us, “why are we here”? Taking a moment and looking at the large attendance in the pews. The answer, we came to be at Our Lord’s Table for healing.
This was Cardinal George’s childhood parish. Without a doubt, He would have been proud of the Priest who spoke on behalf of the children today. It will be a long road to recovery, but if we are for God who can be against us now? “Now we remain with Jesus The Christ”.
