(74) August 12, 2018. My hunger for The Word and Eucharist was satisfied at “St. Thomas The Apostle”. Located in Chicago, neighborhood of Hyde Park. This parish will soon be celebrating 150 years, feeding countless hungry souls that have yearned for God’s love and peace. Walking into this sacred place of worship was an experience of pure joy. This feeling of acceptance from The Holy Spirit and faith community nourished my need to be loved.
Fr. Robin Ryan’s homily was about hunger and without nourishment death is inevitable. In Jesus our hungry hearts are satisfied.
On September 9th at 10am there will be a 150 years celebration Mass.
May the vitality of this vibrant Parish continue on to serve all people.
