December 12, 2021. As the third week of Advent begins, my new Mass celebration was at “St. Francis de Sales”. My appreciation for old and newer Church construction goes beyond the materials used to build them. It’s the heart and souls who sacrificed, beginning with Jesus as The Corner Stone for the faithful to have a place to worship God.

As Deacon Bob Arvidson began his homily, one could feel his sincerity in the words he spoke. Quoting the heart of his message, “In the mist of seriousness there is joy. God is with those who believe in Him. The peace of God will guard us through all our troubles”. By hearing encouraging words such as Deacon Bob’s, today, my will to seek kindness begins with offering it to others first and in doing so peace fills my heart and soul.
