(113) May 12, 2019. Planned sometime ago to celebrate Mass at this most famous parish. Which is the center landmark of the French Quarters in New Orleans, Louisiana. Named after the King of France, “St. Louis Cathedral~Basilica “ was founded in 1718.
On this “Mother’s Day”, my thoughts were on how The Church is a Surrogate Mother. Nurturing Her adopted children with spiritual direction. Teaching us lessons to live by and wisdom to strengthen our beliefs. Her doors are opens arms ready to receive us in good, bad and all times. Healing our sorrows and sharing in our blessings. Each week entering The Church is always a celebration of Motherhood. Especially to give thanks to The Most Sacred Mother of all, Mother Mary. Who dedicated Her life to bring A Life into the world for us to have eternal life.
