Yet again, my path led me to another beautiful Church to experience and also fed my soul incredible nourishment.
Fr. Matthew Eyerman with his dog Bonito unlocked the Church doors early which gave me time to take in the spirit and splendor that is St. Malachy & Precious Blood, Her rich history dating back to the nineteen twenties.
It was odd to see a bag of rock salt in front of the alter until Fr. Matt made sense of it in His Homily. In His words, “We need to be road salt of the earth in proclaiming our faith”. The Holy Spirit resides in the walls of this Church, Her Pastor and the Faith Community, they truly are “The Salt of the Earth” as we heard in today’s Gospel reading.
