Saint Robert Bellarmine Parish

(72) July 28, 2018. The plan was to attend Mass at “St.Robert Bellarmine” on Sunday. Only that was one day too long to wait for spiritual nourishment.

Instead, had a Saturday night date with Jesus. As always, God surprises me with a perfect place to open my mind and heart to be rejuvenated, once again.

Fr. Neil E. Fackler’s sermon was so eloquent in explaining the readings and Gospel. To no avail, my mind couldn’t keep up with all of his homily. So a reflection could be shared. Letting go of that idea freed me to just savior his words and let them feed my soul.

With an impressive background of education and converting from being a Baptist, Fr. Neil’s life story is inspirational. We share in the belief of The Eucharist. And that’s why, we both became Catholics. My background too was in the Baptist Church. But that’s another story for another time.
