Fulfilled an important hope to return to a Church where my 1st sacrament was made. November 19th, 1961 was my baptism day at “St. Joseph Parish” (Downtown) San Antonio. There was a feeling of coming home. Fr. Mario Marzocchi and many parishioners welcomed me back with open arms. And to think this Catholic Church is one of the 15 oldest in The United States. Also, my 1st Church is cradled by a mall. The mall was built around it, because the Parish refused to be sold. Besides Her strong faith community, St.Joseph is visited by many wanting to worship in and see a most historical sanctuary.

With reverence and respect accompanied my girlfriend to worship at “Hyde Pk Baptist Church”, in Austin. Although, we have some differences in our beliefs, we also have common beliefs. The most important is Jesus. So, included are pictures of Mandy’s beautiful Baptist house of worship.

Completed my worship weekend in Texas at “St. Mary Cathedral” in Austin. Fr. Tim Nolt spoke of preparing ourselves this Advent season. Ironically all three pastors had a very similar message. “ Faith is the key that unlocks our hearts to a Christian life”. For me this was a “Jesus, Mary and Joseph” weekend. It was a wonderful experience making these memories with my childhood girlfriend. And sharing our faith and love for Emmanuel.
